Lotus tea

Talk of Vietnam and the Vietnamese War comes to mind yet the Vietnamese are well known for their prowess in making their incredible indigenous Lotus tea. Of course they also sample the best of jasmine tea derived from green tea leaves and blended with the jasmine flower scent. Or the oolong tea that is so common in the Asian continent with its middle feel of both green and black tea. The Pu-erh tea is yet another tea under the management of the Vietnamese, which is found between the Yuan and Vietnam border and is a commonly used weight loss tea. However the lotus kind of tea is considered the consummate Vietnamese tea.

Lotus green tea

The beauty about the lotus green tea is pegged on the fact that in its making, it has retained the more traditional process making the tea stronger and sweeter. The process of getting the top quality tea from the lotus begins with harvesting the freshest and most blooming flower from the fields. The petals are peeled very carefully and determinedly from the lotus bud so that it does not even slightly tear.

This is to make sure that the green tea finds a well structured, not torn petal where it can safely stay. Again, with the green tea inside, the petals will be rejoined with the bud with the green still intact. The buds are then left to remain overnight awaiting reversal of the same process the following morning to get out the best tea from the lotus flower ever tasted. Just imagine that it takes more than 1000 flowers of the lotus to get only a single kilogram.

Tazo tea lotus

The Tazo tea lotus enjoys both the strong traditional process of the tea called lotus and then receives an additional decaffeination that also injects a very sweet flavor. Whether you get this drink cold or hot the sweetness and flavor is still a common and constant fixture in this type of tea. This tea has also been hailed by many as very medicinal working on health risks of cancer and heart disease. Although the medical proof still remains inconclusive, the many testimonials especially from world renowned herbalists attest to the fact that the tea really works. A combination of the medicinal value and the rich flavor that form the structure and form of this tea makes it one of the most coveted tea both locally in Vietnam and all over the world.

The Tazo lotus tea brings out all the richness and depth that any tea should strive to bring out. It carries a very strong and powerful sweet taste with it that, if you are not careful you may get very addicted. Coming in the wake of the tea called lotus and many other types of tea the Tazo somehow manages to fill in the blanks left by the other tea types. It is like where the other teas fail, the tea called Tazo succeeds; and more abundantly.
