Stovetop Espresso

This is an espresso made by the use of a stovetop espresso maker.

Stovetop espresso maker

How do you make an espresso using this espresso maker? First step is to place water in the lower container. At the lower container you will find a basket that will hold the finely ground espresso coffee there is always an approximated amount of about 1-3 teaspoon full for your espresso coffee. But if you want your espresso coffee stronger then you can add more coffee to the basket. The top of the upper pot of the stovetop is screwed in place tightly to act as a seal and the cover of the container.

After that the pot is then inserted in place ready for the brewing process. The most recent models of stovetop makers however have the lid for the lower chamber at the base of the upper pot. After assembling the garget you can then place it on medium stove just above the medium heat. When heating takes place the pot produces steam and since steam occupies more space than water there will be a built up pressure and that will force the hot water  to rise up through the coffee and through the filter to the  above it. That’s just how you make your espresso coffee in just a matter of minutes.

It is good to note that espresso cups do not measure the same as standard measuring cups. This is very disturbing when ordering parts for your old espresso maker the reason is that espresso is measured per espresso cup that which you are given when in you are at the espresso coffee shop. As for coffee makers for example six cups of coffee makers will not produce six cups of fluid coffee, it will be more. When measured the standard cup for espresso coffee is just six fluid ounces.
